we're extremely excited to be welcoming the tatenokawa team back to ROKA mayfair for what is going to be a truly mind-blowing evening in february. founded in 1865 and producing solely junmai daiginjo, tatenokawa are known for producing some of the worlds highest quality sake, often described as fruity and easy-to-drink pairing fantastically with food.
as a very special addition to the dinner we will be hosting a one off masterclass, prior to sitting down, to taste the outstanding zenith 1%. we're extremely excited for this as the zenith 1% is exclusive to ROKA in the uk, with just 150 bottles being produced worldwide. taking you through the class will be our very own group sommelier laura blanchett, the wonderful oliver hilton-johnson from tengu sake and the extremely knowledgable naomi-san from the tatenokawa team who is visiting from japan especially for the evening.
after the masterclass we begin dinner, which will be hosted in our elegant semi-private dining room called the adzuki. group executive chef hamish brown has paired an exquisite 12 dish tasting menu with 5 of tatenokawa's top sakes. you can expect to taste dishes such as grilled king crab with brown crab butter and crispy shallots and yellowtail sashimi with yuzu truffle dressing, mizuna and pickled vegetables.
£200 per person including the masterclass, dinner with paired sake's and vat.
13.5% service charge will be added to all tickets.
